Title: For LinkedIn members & DLA lovers...
Post by: BenWH on April 04, 2012, 10:19:49 AM
If anyone is on LinkedIn and either loved DLA, wants to relive the halcyon days of NWN or simply wants to network with folks from the community on a semi-serious or fun-only basis, I have started a group on LinkedIn called 'DLA & Friends'. Pretty much anyone who is or has been trhough AME would be welcome, just drop me a note or request an invite. It does help me if you let me know any NWN alias too, as we don't always know each others' real names! I'm always happy to chat with old community friends...

Sure... why not. My real name is Aaron Parr. I'm the guy with the handful of  landscape architecture and web developer connections.

Sorry, but, what is this about?

DLA was a modding group that went professional and produced the TNO tilesets for the premium modules that went into Neverwinter Nights, as well as the Premium module Wyvern Crown of Cormyr. For a long time, they were one of the premiere community organisations and a hub for modders of all creeds and dispositions to hang out and chat (mainly in IRC or their forums).

But the group is not exclusively for DLA alumni; it's a networking and ideas group based at least as a starting point in an interest in Neverwinter Nights. Though the group is only just started, we have AME, Ossian and Bioware folks in the group too.

Hey Ben.  Long time no see.  How are things?

This looks interesting.  I'll have to check it out.
